Tuesday, June 24, 2008:
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. REGISTRATION FOR ALL CONTESTANTS: Oak Hills Medical Center Hotel. All Contestants, Parents, Judges, Sponsors and Guests will register
1:15 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. ORIENTATION: Contestants, Parents, Judges, Chaperones and Pageant Personnel.
7:00 p.m. – Finish HORSEMANSHIP COMPETITION: Diamond C Stables, Boerne. Public Invited. Sponsor: Wrangler
Wednesday, June 25, 2008:
8:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. BREAKFAST: At the hotel. Judges, Contestants, Chaperones, Pageant Personnel, Sponsors and Families. 1st half of numbered group of Contestants will give two (2) minute speech. Princess contestants will answer a question. Sponsors: Pat Bowen, Kay Tilton and Arlene Barr
12:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. LUNCHEON AND INFORMAL STYLE SHOW: At the hotel. Judges, Contestants, Chaperones, Sponsors, Pageant Personnel and Families. All Contestants will answer “Informal Question”. Fashions by Dolores Unique Designs. “In Memory of Laurie Walker, MRT 1st Runner-Up 1982”
7:00 – 9:30 p.m. DINNER AT THE *PETROLEUM CLUB: Contestants, Judges, Chaperones, Families and Pageant Personnel. Informal interview of all contestants. Guest MC Rick Cavender, Cavender Auto Family; D. R. Barr, Cynthia Barr, Arlene Barr, Billy Harris and Brenda Harris
Thursday, June 26, 2008:
8:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. BREAKFAST: At the hotel. Judges, Contestants, Chaperones, Pageant Personnel, Sponsors and Families. 2nd half of numbered group of Contestants will give two (2) minute speeches. Word Association for Princess Contestants Sponsor: Oppenheimer, Blend, Harrison & Tate, Inc., Bruce Mitchell & Reese L. Harrison, Jr.
12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m Lunch at Club Giraud for Miss and Teen contestants. *Parents may join us for lunch at the club. Princess contestants will have a separate lunch. Sponsored by Julie Kallison
7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. DINNER AND STYLE SHOW AT *OAK HILLS COUNTRY CLUB: Fashions from Dillard’s River Center Mall. All contestants will answer “Personality Questions” and “Luck of the Draw”. Princess contestants will model after the style show. Sponsor: Sandra Hathaway, Miss Rodeo Texas 1963 and Rebecca Ramsey, Miss Rodeo Texas 1965
Friday, June 27, 2008:
8:30 a.m. – 9:45 p.m. BREAKFAST: At the hotel. Judges, Contestants, Chaperones, Pageant Personnel, Sponsors and Families. All contestants will answer “Current Event Questions” for all contestants. Sponsor: Kelley and Cindy Baxley and Gary and Deb Morris.
11:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. CORONATON PRATICE. CONTESTANTS ONLY
12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. JUDGES LUNCHEON: Sponsor: Phil and Barbara Salemi, Town & Country Mortgage Services
6:00 p.m. – 6:50 p.m. CORONATION RECEPTION AT SAN PDRO PLAYHOUSE – Opened to the Public. Sponsor: Cheryl Thompson Draper
7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. CORONATION OF MISS RODEO TEXAS, MISS RODEO TEXAS TEEN MISS RODEO TEXAS PRINCESS 2008 AT SAN PEDRO PLAYHOUSE. Sponsor: Urban Concrete, Ronnie Urbanczyk, President.
Saturday, June 28, 2008:
8:30 a.m – 10:00 a.m. AWARDS BREAKFAST: At hotel. All Judges, Contestants, Chaperones, Pageant Personnel, Sponsors and Families. Awards will be presented. Sponsors: Frances Bendele, Sandy Oefinger and Kathy Waclawczyk
*NOTE: Blue denim, shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes are not allowed at the following locations: The Petroleum Club, Club Giraud, and Oak Hills Country Club. No exceptions!
Family Hospitality Suite is opened every day after meals. Maps to all events away from the hotel will be available as well as the display of all awards and Silent Auction are in the Family Hospitality Suite. Silent auction will close Friday at 11:00 a.m and all items must be picked up by 3:30p.m Friday afternoon.
