Horsemanship Ride Pattern as Follows:

 

1. Walk from the gate and proceed to point B

2. First figure eight should begin to the right and be smaller and slower

3. Second figure eight should be larger and faster; then, after the final lead change break down into a walk or a trot and proceed to point D

4. Run to the far end of the arena and slide stop; then, turn away from the rail

5. Begin run to the other end of the arena and slide stop; then, turn away from the rail

6. Make a short run past the center of the arena and slide stop

7. Back up to the center of the arena

8. Walk a few steps toward the judges

9. Quarter turn to the left or right

10. Half turn in the opposite direction taken in I

11. Quarter turn in the opposite direction taken in J

At the conclusion of the pattern, walk to the judges and dismount to answer questions.
